The Silvretta, Stubai and Ötztal ranges are excellent as alpine training grounds before moving to more serious fare. Other ranges covered are Bernina, Bregaglia, Ortler, Adamello, Zillertal, Venidiger and Glockner.

Though now a little dated (on some approaches) due to climate change this remains a fine guidebook, concise, durable and clear with valuable maps and photographs.
